Donovan Henry is on the Soil Health Academy board of directors and works in nutrient, sediment, and watershed management as it relates to agriculture and soil health. He has worked with numerous federal and state agencies, municipalities, soil and water conservation districts, NGO’s, non-profit organizations, and individuals to improve water quantity and water quality across the eastern US. Working to meet these needs across a large geography has allowed Donovan to develop a network of practitioners and solutions for sediment and nutrient management that promote soil health and protect source waters.

Donovan joined SHA after being introduced to regenerative agriculture and seeing how impactful these practices can be improving sediment and nutrient retention, as well as restoring hydrologic conditions.

“Regenerative agriculture in one watershed can do more for downstream water resources than all of the typical natural resource projects combined.”
