About Me

John grew up in southern Wisconsin. While he did not live on a farm, he always had an interest in agriculture. Spending a year living on a dairy farm in Australia convinced him that dairy farming would not be his career. But it did spark a life long interest in learning about the rest of the world. He attended the University of Wisconsin with a major in agriculture economics. What followed was a +30 yr career in international business, living in Japan and eventually back to a free range poultry business in Indiana. It was there that a customer first approached the company about applying the principles of regenerative agriculture. That led to introductions to training opportunities with regenerative agriculture practitioners and farms interested in applying these principles. John was hooked.

For the past several years, John has applied his operations experience to help food processing facilities manage the use of regeneratively grown inputs for a wide variety of products.
“I am incredibly grateful and excited to be a member of the Soil Health Academy team. I’ve been able to witness first hand, the powerful trajectory of regenerative products from healthy soil to table. Soil health education continues to be a key step in supporting further opportunities for our farming communities.”
