The Soil Health Academy is a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating and empowering farmers, ranchers, and agricultural professionals in the principles and practices of regenerative agriculture to improve soil health, increase profitability, and restore ecological function.

SHA offers multi-day, on-farm schools, virtual workshops, customized training programs, and educational resources that teach practical, science-based regenerative agriculture techniques.

Farmers, ranchers, educators, ag consultants, conservationists, nutritionists, nutrition-minded consumers and anyone interested in regenerative agriculture and soil health can benefit from SHA’s training.

SHA events are hosted on regenerative farms and ranches across the U.S. Each location offers a hands-on learning experience tailored to its unique cropping system, climate, region, and management practices.

SHA’s schools are led by world-renowned regenerative farmers and ranchers who teach from experience—not just theory. The focus is on practical, proven methods that lead to measurable improvements in soil health and farm profitability.

The Soil Health Academy equips producers with practical tools and proven strategies to reduce input costs, increase productivity, and improve overall farm resilience. By adopting regenerative practices that enhance soil health—such as integrating cover crops, reducing tillage, and implementing adaptive grazing—farmers and ranchers often experience lower expenses, better soil function (including infiltration), higher crop and forage quality, and increased profitability over time. SHA’s farmer-led approach ensures the training is grounded in real-world, economically viable solutions.

Soil Health Academy schools and workshops are uniquely led by successful regenerative farmers and ranchers who teach from hands-on experience, not just theory. Each event is immersive, practical, and tailored to real-world application—hosted on working regenerative operations. The curriculum emphasizes whole-system thinking, profitability, and measurable results. Class sizes are intentionally kept small to foster deep engagement, one-on-one mentorship, and peer-to-peer learning. This farmer-focused, results-driven approach sets SHA apart from more conventional, academic-style training programs.
