Dawn Striegel

Dawn Striegel grew up on a farm that was both a dairy and a farrow-to-finish hog operation. She returned to the farm after college, where she worked with her family until deciding to join the Army and was called to active duty during Operation Enduring Freedom. After returning from Iraq, she focused on her professional development at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics where she developed her leadership skills in both the pathology and anesthesia departments.

Dawn has been in leadership roles most of her professional career.  Identifying and implementing strategies that create growth and assure profitability while maintaining the best quality possible in the outgoing product are among her strengths.

Her introduction to the Soil Health Academy came shortly after starting a position in sales and marketing for a company selling forage and cover crop seed. She became invested in regenerative agriculture after attending an SHA school and is excited about continuing her career with the Soil Health Academy

Dawn now lives on a small acreage where she raises and trains American Saddlebred show horses. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa and her MBA from Columbia Southern University.
