Jason Marmon is an accomplished program adviser and business development leader with 10 years of experience helping companies, communities, causes and individuals achieve measurable results through effective programs. In addition to his role on the board of directors for the Soil Health Academy, Jason serves as development director for US Energy, a social impact non-profit focused on sustainable system design coordination.

A collaborative team leader, facilitator, communicator and fundraiser who knows how to plan, organize, and execute successful campaigns and events that promote and grow successful programs and key initiatives, Jason is a proven strategist, entrepreneur and trusted adviser with the ability to align people and resources through common goals, advocacy, engagement and environmental sustainability.

A North Dakota native who now lives in Boise, Idaho, Jason’s interest in sustainability led him to connect with SHA co-founder Gabe Brown, who invited the entrepreneur to his North Dakota ranch. Shortly after that encounter, and after also attending an SHA on-farm school, Marmon helped create the Carbon Summit in Boise, a promotional event to be held at Boise State University April 21-22, 2022, which is designed to help identify, promote and scale sustainable solutions. Jason is also spearheading a workforce development initiative with Boise State Department of Campus Sustainability around, the BSU Job & Career Fair set for March 10th, 2022.

“In my role on the SHA board, I’m most excited about the opportunity to connect with farmers and ranchers across the nation—building relationships, improving soil health and realigning with nature,” Marmon said. “I believe regenerative agriculture has the potential to restore the health of our soil, our farms, our food and our climate, but the movement can also benefit from greater outreach and promotion,” he said. “Working with the SHA board, its cadre of world-renowned instructors and the SHA staff, I’m confident we can accelerate the widespread adoption of soil health-centric regenerative ag principles and practices—that’s my personal goal.”
