About

Soil Health Academy (SHA) is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization committed to empowering regeneration through education. We help farmers first UNDERSTAND, and then effectively apply nature’s proven regenerative agriculture principles. Our mission is to cultivate healthier soil, food, farms, and communities, paving the way for a healthier future.

Since 2017, SHA has empowered over 2,800 participants to reduce their dependence on synthetic chemicals, improve water infiltration by 75%, and cut pesticide and herbicide use by 65%.

Regenerative agriculture has the powerful potential to restore the health of our bodies, farms, communities, and planet, while also strengthening the economic viability of our planet's farms and rural areas. However, without providing farmers and ranchers with the practical knowledge and tools to successfully apply soil health-improving principles, widespread adoption of regenerative agriculture remains unlikely. The Soil Health Academy was founded to address this critical need, helping to ensure that regenerative practices can be effectively implemented on farms and ranches across the world.

Our Approach

The SHA curriculum is comprehensive, hands-on, and designed for practical application. It blends classroom learning with real-world field exercises, offered in one-, two-, or three-day formats. The curriculum is structured around three key areas of focus: mindset, skills, and tools. Host farms and ranches actively applying regenerative practices provide a live setting where students can see soil health in action, and more.
